Independent Living
Independent living is suited for seniors who are able to live and function independently in their own apartment, yet wish to have the companionship and support of other seniors. Most independent living communities provide three meals a day, utilities, housekeeping services, social activities, and transportation to appointments and planned outings; all of which allow seniors to thrive in this setting by minimizing their daily responsibilities. Independent living communities are designed to feel and function like a private residence while providing opportunities for socialization and engagement with others. These communities do not have full time staff dedicated to providing hands-on medical care, nor do they provide assistance with medication.
